How to register

To register for the WCD 2011, please use our secure on-line registration system. Registration fees are as follows.

**If you are a resident, fellow, student in training or a nurse, your registration cannot be confirmed without written verification of your training status by the chairman of your department. Please download the verification form below to fill out and send it to the Congress Office along with your registration by fax (+822-3476-8800) or e-mail (registration@wcd2011.org). If you are registering online, your letter of verification must be received within 7 days of submission or your registration will be canceled.

When completing the form, be sure to enter accurate e-mail addresses as these are used to create unique registrant IDs. Our system does not allow more than one person (excluding accompanying persons) to be registered under the same ID (e-mail address). Please be sure also to indicate the category (i.e. member, non-member, residents & fellows, students, nurses) under which you would like to register the group or each individual. Once the information is entered into our system, temporary passwords will be sent to each registrant which they may use to log in and modify their personal information, apply for courses, gala dinner tickets and register accompanying persons.
 
- Registration fees do not include accommodation and travel costs.
1) Entitlement
Delegate registration fees include:
  • Admission to all congress sessions (except courses for which an additional fee is required), poster areas and technical exhibition
  • Admission to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies
  • Admission to the Welcome Reception
  • Congress materials (Final program, abstract CD, congress bag)
  • Option to purchase tickets for the Congress Gala Dinner.
Accompanying Persons’ registration fees include:
  • Admission to the accompanying person’s Lounge
  • Admission to the technical exhibition from May 27-29
  • Admission to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies
  • Admission to the Welcome Reception
  • 2 excursions
  • Option to purchase tickets for the Congress Gala Dinner.
2) Courses

An additional fee is required to participate in any of the courses which will consist of a series of full day and half-day academic lectures on clinical or basic scientific topics, presented by a recognized international faculty. The list of course topics and organizers will appear on the on-line registration system. Admission is by ticket only and the number of participants in each course is limited. Therefore, early reservation of tickets is recommended.

3) Terms of Payment
Payment of fees must accompany all registration forms. Registrations cannot be confirmed until payment is received. Payment can be made by the following methods.
Credit Card

Only VISA, MasterCard and JCB cards are accepted. If paying by credit card through the official website, please use the secure on-line payment system.
If you register using the enclosed printed registration form, please supply the requested credit card information and send to the Congress Secretariat by fax or email.

Bank wire transfer

Please note that all banking charges must be paid by the registrant.
A duplicate or photocopy of the bank transfer statement with the applicant’s name and address including details of the payment must be sent by fax or e-mail to the Congress Secretariat to secure registration.

4) Name change

Name changes must be made in writing (submit a complete registration form) no later than March 24, 2011. Name substitutions will be treated as new registrations. A lost badge can be replaced for a fee of USD 30.

5) Cancellation Policy

Reimbursements for cancellations made up to April 24, 2011 are subject to a 25% administrative charge. Refunds for cancellations received after April 24, 2011 will be given only in exceptional circumstances after the deduction of expenses already incurred.
Any applicable refunds will be made after the closing of the Congress.

Full refunds will be given for cancellations of course received on or before March 24, 2011. No refund will be given for the cancellations received from March 25, 2011.

Full refunds will be given for social event registrations cancellations made up to April 24, 2011.Reimbursements for social event registration cancellations made from April 25th to May 22nd, 2011 are subject to a 50% administrative charge. Cancellations received after May 22nd cannot be refunded.

6) Invitation Letter

Some Korean consulates accept standard invitation letters printed from PDF files, others require letters with handwritten signatures and yet others may require these letters to be notarized. Please check with your local Korean consulate to confirm the requirements of the invitation letter.

Notarized letters are provided free of charge to delegates who have completed registration and paid all fees. Exhibitors must pay a $40 fee to cover the cost of notarization. The fee can be paid by credit card by visiting the following website: http://wcd2011.org/pay_eng.html
